Director- Ramkumar Review:- Ratsasan is a riveting crime thriller with a highly engaging premise, precisely written story and screenplay and aptly fleshed out characters. Ratsasan is one of those suspense thriller movies which keeps you on the edge of your seats and every sequence is unpredictable. The basic plot itself is highly interesting and as the film unravels, the plot becomes more convoluted while maintaining it's firm grip over the basic plot. Along with the versatile acting of the entire statcast, the technical aspects of this film are extremely laudable including the camera work. The background score is the highlight of this film which perfectly conveys the emotions of the characters and complements the scenes elevating them to another level, something which background music is actually supposed to do. The film presents an inordinate amount of twists and turns and there is not a single moment of dullness. Ratsasan is a masterpiece by director Ramkumar which you definitely cannot miss. One of the most boring and irritating films I 've ever watched. I'm confused whether to call it a horror or a comedy film. Unlike other reviewers had mentioned, this film contains a lot, A HELL LOT OF jump scares! This film has been made with no motive. It is just a 2.5 hours of torture, a torture for which we ourselves pay. I couldn't even laugh owing to some extremely crude and violent scenes, one of them being a lady whose child was being aborted in a very explicit and gruesome manner. So this film is not worth watching even once.
