I really struggled with this latest book. It wss a real chore I found to get started let alone to want to pick it back up again. It felt very tedious and full of waffle. WH & BUTB held my attention from start to fiinish and I couldn't put it down. This time I didn't seek to to find the time to lread more. It lacked the finesse of the other 2 books and characters disn't shine through. The end of the book felt as if it had been hastily written to bring this book to a closure.Such a shame as I loved the other 2 books and my favourite part of History. Now going back to read Wolf Hall so I can feel the love back for Hilary Mantle.
