Loved the movie. Quite impressive cinematography and direction. The negative as well as positive side of Ben's life was shown in this movie. An emotional movie for every cricket fan . Shows every facet of his life. Really admire Ben and a fan of his skills. Truly an inspiration to every person , inspiring us how to rise from rock-bottom . Hence the name, Rise of phoenix.

" A Feel Good Movie " Hey ! If you are having a tough time and finding it hard to achieve your dreams , give this movie a go . Brilliant writing which was executed well on screen as well by the actors. The movie set in 1970s is about a kid named JR (yeah its abbreviation for Junior:) , who along with his mother go to live with their grandfather . He & his mother were left by their father , who works as a jockey in radio. Their he gets to live with his uncle Charlie ( I want an uncle like that too ), who he loves very much. He teaches him every nuance of life. JR aspires to be a writer and it was only after uncle Charles gave him books to read that he found writing so enjoyable. Uncle Charles run a Bar and there along with other locals , JR form a bond and finds love he never got. As he grows , his mother asks him to become a lawyer and go to Yale. He being a good kid , works hard day in day out to achieve a seat in Yale, making his mother proud. The rest of the movie involves his friendships he develops, love troubles and hardships he faces to become a writer . At one point he was full of dejection and it was Uncle Charles who instills confidence in him . Yearned to watch a movie for a long time, I found peace and happiness in this film . Not a blockbuster, but this movie has my heart , specifically JR and Uncle Charles. To conclude I would say , " Give your interest a chance, even if you will fail , you will know deep inside , you tried best to make it happen ." Happy Watching ❤
