This movie had me reminiscing about some of the classic Twilight Zone episodes, where the horror slowly emerges from a familiar ubiquitous setting. Minus one star because I think it could have used better editing, but it still leaves one feeling a bit disturbed, feeling like an animal caught in a leg-hold trap.

The dialogue and acting were awesome. Some real heart in this screenplay. Halfway thru watching it, I decided I wanted to repeat watching it several times. Totally enjoyable.

I loved this mini-series. The characters, the story line(s), the family focus, the other relationships portrayed, etc. I plan to watch it again and again.

I'm not much of a western movie fan. I was therefore very surprised to thoroughly enjoy this thoughtful film. The story was simple but solid and told well. All the performances were top notch. The pacing lagged in a couple of places, but the direction was good and there were also a few superb moments between Wayne, Bacall and Howard.
The key to success: "It isn't always being fast or even accurate that counts. It's being willing. I found out that early most men, regardless of cause or need, aren't willing."
My favorite line.

Not quite sure if I want to see what those judges see as 'next in fashion'. They've picked unshaped tents as winners more than once. It makes no sense.
Makes me wonder if the sponsor for the show was Hefty or Glad trash bag division. Nice to know amorphous bags are the future of design. I suppose it's better than seeing runway models walking around wearing furniture and pillows. Again, maybe not.
This show was a pitiful copy of the early Project Runway series, which had unfulfilled potential.

A very decent interpretation of the story with a much better ending AFAIC. While it came across as a made-for-tv-movie, it was well above average. Credible performances, especially Bettis, and story details which grounded (no pun intended) the tale and helped the characters seem a little less cartoonish than the 1974 version.
The only thing that seemed awkward was the Billy Nolan character. He came out of left field as an over the top murdering sociopath.

Wow! Brilliant! I love sci-fi tales that have the maturity to look beyond the tech for its own sake, that explore the human experience of the tech. Beautiful and impactful story.

I had no idea what to expect but I instantly got sucked into the series after watching the first episode. Watching highly talented, dedicated restoration artisans bring treasures back to life was great. Seeing them ply their creativity, knowledge, skills and teamwork on so many fascinating and different objects - mesmerizing!

Amazing experience to watch! Creative, riveting, rich characters, complex storyline, great acting and directing. Damn, I'm sorry it's over, but it finished well. And because it was just complex enough, I will enjoy watching the whole series again.
