This is a good looking series main problem it is crammed and stuffed with way too much diversity that it feels pretentious and boring the kids portrayed in this series are annoying and spoiled brats and specially the main character Fraser Wilson he is depicted as a spoiled and disrespectable kid that i could not stand watching him or the series. The Mom played by Chloe Sevigny is potrayed as weak Mother who can not raise her own kid i would expect a character like hers be depicted alot stronger than that. I grew up in a military base overseas and my experience was not the way it is depicted in this series.

A good film not great i felt i have seen this genre one to many times in films it also felt like a pilot for a very good cop show like Hill Street Blues or NYPD Blue The Wire The Shield Southland and the list goes on. I guess i see this film from an American perspective and if i was watching it from a French perspective i probably would have liked this film even more. It makes a good statement and awareness on french society today on its minority population in the Paris Ghettos.

This one of the most prententious piece of film making i have ever seen a movie. A film that parades the people featured in this film like a freak show for the sake of art it looked like soft core porn targeted for an audience that gets turned on watching this. I would rather sit through a film by Ulrich Seidl and watch the Paradise trilogy.

Good concept for a film but at the same time i found my self irritated by this film it felt like a piece of proaganda with a lack of providing a better narrative. The film felt like first world white people are suppose to feel guilty for the choices these migrants by taking a risky a dangerous trek to the shores for Europe i empathize with there desparation for a better life but it could have been a far better film I recommend the African film La Pirogue released in 2012.

, Interesting concept for a film but falls flat in tone pace narrative and acting but beautifully shot. My only guess this film was entered in competition at cannes was to meet the diversity quota no matter how good or bad the film is, and also to be politically correct and not face anger and outrage from womens group. And i am sure the jury led Alejandro Gonzales Injarritu probably felt obligated with there conscience to award this film the Grand prix over other films that deserved it far more.

Critics butchered and trashed this film unfairly. I liked this film I did not love it. It simply told the love story of these two women without being to melodramatic. I give cudos to Jennifer Cox for the striking and beautifully shot film that had me gazing at the screen in all its beauty.

Its a watchable film its major downfall at times it seemed a bit implausible. And at times it felt like a propaganda piece.

Great looking film, but a great film i don't think so. I had a hard time trying to immerse myself in this film. It seems to be the director Dani De La Torre was trying to make this feel like a big budget Hollywood film ah la Esponala it felt a bit over the top at times it felt melodramatic. But since I am not Spanish and not that familiar with that part of Spanish history maybe that's a reason I could not get into it. The story felt a little bland and predictable. My grade C-
