NO SPOILER: Now I may be on the high of just watching this film, but damn, it was really good. Was it perfect, no. But the movie as a whole was pretty consistent and was paced pretty good. I went into this movie only knowing about like 20 minutes of the beginning from the watching the trailers and then knowing absolutely nothing else after the 20 minute mark. I thought the story was kind of clunky at times but still managed to get the job done and tell a well written story. The only main issue I had with this movie was the first part of the movie dragged just a little and got a little messy at times where you couldn’t really understand. It was as if the writers focused on writing a more satisfying and epic second half of the film and focused less on the first half making the first half just a bit weaker. But as soon as the movie found its footing in the first half and took off, it never let up. This leading to a very climactic and satisfying second half of the film which surprised, satisfied, and exceeded my expectations and will leave you feeling happy, sad, and satisfied. I also have to credit Tom Holland. This is by far his best performance as Spider-Man/Peter Parker. Because we have spent so much time with him as Spider-Man/Peter Parker, you are able to really feel the raw emotions in his performance in this movie. Another actor that stood out was Willem Dafoe. After this movie, he is arguably my favorite villain. His performance is so good, he is able to surprise you and terrify you at the same time. He outdoes his performance from Spider-Man 2002. This movie/movie experience is one that I will never forget alongside Endgame and I had a blast. Overall, the story is well written with an action packed second half along with so much nostalgia. This may be my favorite Spider-Man movie.
