The Matrix was never a funny movie. It was a serious movie about a serious topic. This had too many jokey moments to fall in line with the original feel of the movies. If the director wanted to make a different type of movie just do that, and not The Matrix. The set design was god awful. The make up on Niobe was god AWFUL. The fight scenes didn’t have any of the ‘awe’ from the original movies. At no point did I feel like ANY of the main characters were in ANY REAL danger. The whole Meta thing was way too obvious. They just told us, as if we’re IDIOTS and need to be spoon fed the concept. It had too many obvious tropes. What was great about the old movies was they couldn’t JUST CGI EVERYTHING. Creativity was still being used to make movies. Very sad
