I want to start out by saying it wasn't all bad, but it wasn't all good. They do not follow the original story at all, but they make an attempt. They fight scenes are amazing. The cgi is flawless. My main concern is the lack of plot. If you're looking for a well written Mortal Kombat story then you're better off playing the game or watching the original movie. They have a lot of moments and fights that literally happen just because they are the good guy. Jax's arms come out of nowhere. Then they fully transform litterally out of nowhere. But with all that said that's not the main thing that pisses me off about this movie. They introduce another character. His name is Conner. He is supposed to be the chosen one, main character, type of guy. I can't express the lack of everything behind him. He gains his powers literally from a bracelet. He grows a shirt from it. That is where he gets literally all of his powers. The main character. They use him to be the new scorpion. That legitimately ruined my day. Please, and I mean this seriously, fire thguy who came up with that idea. To replace one of the most badass characters in the series with a man who developed his abilities from a bracelet that grew a shirt that grew for no reason too. And make him the main character. Please do better next time. I was excited for the new mk movie because I saw the original when I was a kid and I've been a fan of the franchise years, but this character alone made me regret ever watching it.
