[Spoilers] As one other had said, this game is a slap to the face of anyone who had loved the original. Gameplay is great, the combat is fun and there’s much more strategy to it, but good gameplay can’t outweigh a terrible story. After Joel was killed, they tried to then make Abby as likeable as possible, trying to “put us in Abby’s shoes”. Half of the gameplay was as Abby in the game, and I hated every second of it. At the end, Ellie just lets Abby go, after promising she’d bring Joel to justice. This is the sappiness from the original game’s ending multiplied by a hundred. I looked forward to the end of the game right from the beginning, waiting for Joel to be brought to justice, only for a slap in the face. It was not worth $60 for me.
