My mother is in the early stages of Dementia. This was a great first book for me to read and connect with the author on her feelings as she traveled from the early stages of Dementia through the days after her mother Marilyn's death. She captures her feelings through her journaling. She addresses issues as each new challenge presented itself. I laughed at some of her stories and and I cried as I found myself feeling so sorry for all that she, her father, and her mother's extended family endured. Anne had some excellent advise that I can use as my own family follows my mother through her dementia. It's a very special book.
