Nitelife Charlie

I am a DC fan since the age of nine. The characters are "super" and there is some good acting that is subverted by mediocre at best story and character writing. This story has an already excellent premise, however, if Batwoman was not a DC comic character, I would not watch the show. It's primary agenda is clearly politics over plot. Even that part of it is awkwardly obvious. It's poorly done robs the character of much needed magnetism and pivotal strength on screen. All the while, it ostentatiously denigrates the very thing it intends to promote thus dragging the name of this great DC character (as well as the political objective itself) through the mud. While it will obviously appeal to a specific minority, the most serious drawback here is that the show lacks depth and drama of real quality. Hanging out the dirty laundry of a character type that Batwoman never really was will not win hearts or watchers. A wonderful DC character is being assassinated. Somebody, please save this show!
