Just finished 2 seasons of this show and before I say anything, I haven't read the books so I came into this thinking it'll be an awesome time travelling tale that takes you throughout history of Scotland and Beyond. But after the first season I was trying my best to collect all the patience I could to watch more of it, It was getting increasingly difficult to watch episode by episode. I think the main culprit for this was the main character herself, Claire. She was smart in the first season but then her common sense honestly evaporated by the time she got back to Frank. She constantly makes everything about herself and uses any means she can to get what she wants, She's almost dangerously manipulative and don't even start on the sex scenes cause I was getting very tired of it. In the last episode of the 2nd season Brianna Randall tries to knock some sense into her, and honestly I loved that part as I was struggling to sympathize at all with Claire. The two best parts of this show are Jaime and Randall, at least they have a little depth to their character while Claire just uses them for her benefit. Frank is honestly the nicest husband I've ever seen and Claire uses him for intimacy to remember Jaime which is just honestly hypocritical. No hate for the actors cause all of them are doing their best, I'm just a little disappointed at the writing for Claire's character cause she was just getting a little too infuriating to watch.
