It is totally unacceptable and immaterial for presenters to ask an invited scientist about their political leanings when they have been invited to discuss scientific opinions. I cannot recall any other scientist including Dr Powis on the same programme and other members of SAGE being asked this on any channel. I think this indicates the presenters own biased views and was designed to discredit their guest. Poor journalism.
