Extremely overrated game. A good example of the bad design choices that litter this game is in the main world map, they give you no way to figure out where you shouldn't go because of higher level enemies other than trial and error via dying or running. The game wastes your time a lot, and is so sensitive to levels that even enemies 1 level higher can take you out easily for a good 3/4's of the game. The game is imbalanced, poorly designed, and there isn't a single good ending in it.
Aspects of fighting also get annoying over time. It's a system that doesn't remember the last thing you did, and is not consistent in what order it highlights enemies or allies depending on hitting or healing. The game does not prioritize group members for healing spells first, and then the names and icons of the enemies get in the way as your trying to manually select a character. At first this isn't too big of a deal, by the 40th hour, it's more than annoying.
They also expect you to remember the nuance of all of the quests you find and try to solve by giving you as little information as possible, leaving you to wander around trying to remember or figure out where you need to go, this being made more complicated by the fact that a single area on the map can be in a two to three level difference meaning you take a wrong turn and are in a fight with enemies two levels higher who take you out quickly. Another aspect to the game that at first isn't a big deal while later on when going back to quests you weren't able to solve right away, left me having to look up the quest to be reminded of what happened.
Also if you enjoy saving every ten minutes out of fear of taking a wrong turn and having to redo the last half hour, then this game is for you.
The game should sit at about a 7/10 at the highest.
