Watchable and important drama with great acting but a dreadful ending because it devalued the debate by suggesting that an unlikable (& unlikely) PC had somehow brought justice to a debate that is way beyond such a trite 'justice prevails'.

Intriguing but ultimately disappointing because whoever wrote this didn't know how it should end. It was no cleverer than - let's make it someone no one suspects & have a spectacular ending. But so many flaws. e.g where did knowledge of his caravan come from? What were the connections to previous foster parents? etc ... & Why were the special effects of the fire in the house so amateurish? Very disappointing that the writer wasn't able to draw the threads together.

A pretentious script and Nicola Walker overacting again. Oh how clever and well read the scriptwriters are! There is a decent idea and good actors. But lost in trying to be too clever. Very disappointing.

I presume the wonderful cast signed up before they read the script. Everything was wonderful except the timing and the script.

I've read pretentious reviews about the "courage" of the production but I only kept watching out of a belief that something interesting must happen. It didn't! At one point I was cheering on a polar bear in the hope that it would have a tasty snack & save us from watching another hour of this truly awful film. Unfortunately the polar bear was scared off. I should have taken my cue from the bear and left. I certainly wasn't looking for melodrama or boys own 'heroism against the odds'. A gritty story of survival in a hostile environment would have been okay. A tragic failure to overcome the odds of arctic survival would have been okay. But the film wasn't clever or interesting. It was just seriously boring. The female lead could have been nominated for an Oscar. Except she didn't speak or move. If you read this and decide not to watch I will have done you a big favour! Or you could just sit through it & wish you'd believed me. The script was the only thing I couldn't fault. There wasn't any.
