10/10.
"Heartbreak Hits" is a beautifully written album. It's filled to the brim with emotion and vignettes, and it really gives off that "happy-sad" feeling as it contains a fantastic cocktail of songs that are rhythmically happy/upbeat but lyrically sad/melancholic. In this way, the album does a very good job in highlighting the very nuanced and complex human experience of navigating through not-so-black-or-white emotions and truths, especially as consequences to the fundamental and uniquely human capacity to care. You might say that the album demonstrates, to some degree, Theo's (and, subsequently, the listener's) understanding of this very human concept of caring, since the amount of effort, consideration, and attention put into the album is easily evident (and readily enjoyable) from start to finish.
Thank you, Theo.
