The plot and the theme are effective, it all ties in towards the end and left me with very few questions (plotholes, subplots, etc.). There was one question I did have which I will leave below so as not to spoil anything. The acting definitely could have been better, I would have liked to see more emotion conveyed throughout (especially with the subject matter) which could have to do with the directing. I liked the cinematography of it, but I think things could have been more artistic at some points, the shot variety kept me interested in the movie. There were little to no special effects, which might’ve not been completely necessary but it does add to the art of the film. The musical score of the movie was probably there but it did not connect me to the movie the way that the score should. I did feel connected to some of the characters at some points in the movie, however, this was not conveyed all the way through. It didn’t leave that much of an impression on me. After a movie I want to feel something about it, this was not the case for this movie. They built up to the resolution in a fine way, however, they revealed a lot of stuff that could be obvious once we get to the resolution. They didn’t take a very imaginative approach with the end and the thing that was supposed to make the audience ponder their existence really didn’t. I think that this is a horror/sci-fi movie that some people may like especially if they don’t care about the aftermath/purpose of a movie, however, if you are looking for something to leave you pondering your existence, this isn’t the movie for you.
*SPOILER*
Why did they focus so much on Madrid's reaction toward the end and do literally nothing with it?
