Seriously underated movie. I love and deeply respect what the director did in The Fifth Element. It's one of my favorite movies. I watched Valerian not knowing anything about it, who wrote/directed it, or read any reviews. It reminded me of The Fifth Element, and Jupiter Ascending, but more expansive! Then I finished the movie and looked it up. The director's vision and imagination for Valerian is impressive, ambitious, and original. (Just like The Fifth Element) I don't get the negative reviews. Solid story and visually stunning. I hope there is a sequel.
