It's an advertising gimmick. Get familiar with the young faces because they are being launched. Create fake drama to appear real. Get publicity for new ventures and give our feelers that you are dying for a come back so someone gives you a chance. Then get free tickets to advertise and airline and a country. And I still gave it my precious time so that's a sure win for them.

What's with the parenting in this show? Sameer's mom acts like she had tried leaving him on mandir ka seedi several times but he crawled back into her life. Time and Time again she uses negative motivation to "challenge" him into getting better with his studies and behavior without guiding him and instead saying things like you are and will always be a failure. The girls character is totally relatable but she exists only to be bashed and bullied in a household full of shallow and conniving aunt's who don't fail to remind her she's just a liability. Her dad, who lacks a lot more than a spine is so one tracked in his mind that he doesn't even acknowledge her existence. The show is great in terms of nostalgia it creates and gives you a detailed walk down memory lane but this makes it look like parents were monsters back in the days. The narrative makes it sound like kids today have it easy and dont know what live is but we knew it because guess what we were brought up like animals in cages and knew how to appriciate it. I was born in 82 so no I ain't a millennial but don't think this show is something one can go in watching.

It would be silly to expect anything less when you look at the story line, director and the outstanding star cast of this master piece. Though Nawazuddin siddique steals the screen with his presence and undoubtedly that usual confident dialoge delivery, every actor potrayed has done justice to his/her character. Needless to say I am not surprised but absolutely mind blown.
