What has this show got to do with most real car restoration processes? There are body shops world wide who make all new panel’s themselves by all types of old time techniques, Hammonds workshop has virtually none to show. They are only doing some small time general tidy up and resprays. I don’t think Hammond can actually do a full body shop managers job day in day out, he’s always coming up with some total distraction away from the real work, ( for the show I suppose ) Car racing to get repair work from fellow racers without fully thinking it through on costs alone, Joke. It’s a shame as I like the Family he’s connected himself with but with the best will in the world I don’t think they are the top people he thought they were, when based on his knowledge of it at the very beginning of his venture into that world. Sorry but series three has become the flop it is. Very disappointed.

My wife and I both love this show and love Bob’s hat! So much so that I’ve purchased one from from the states myself On that note has anyone else noticed that for instance, in series 2 episode 1, the hat bob is wearing isn’t the Fairway pork pie bucket hat but a mocked up copy? It has a smaller width of Blue and red band on it, plus it’s a lighter stone colour with smaller colour matching air vent rivets. Also the top panel is stitched with the seam on the inside of the hat and not outside showing as in the pork pie style. There’s other little things but, for some reason they seemed to have mocked this one up out of another hat I’d love to know the reason why? Anyway love the show one to watch if you’ve not seen it.
