Way too early to give solid judgement, so ...if you're here trying to decide whether or not to watch it's only 2 episodes 24mins each you have a better chance of judging it for yourself after watching. If you're here after watching, heyya fellas let's see where the road takes us. I already like the feels and the minor flips; the fact we don't see the kid, the reveal in the first episode that this will simply be a journey and that no one cast (yet) resembles the other, they're a whole new lot. Perfect spin-off combo and truly well thought out. They also pay tribute to HIMYM - which is hella important. All in all I'm excited. We will all have solid arguments after a couple more episodes or when the season ends, so disregard all these and get to watching! Let the journey begin kids :)

A let down and I'm not saying it to be mean I love Yara's work but she wasn't "in it" you could tell from her acting. I haven't read the book and watching it made me prefer having read it. Most of what I would have said has been detailed by others so I'll just leave it here. I was disappointed in everything except the cinematography (would have made a good photo shoot, those humans are really pretty)
