While it may be fiction it holds truths relevant today. War is hell, jealousy will eat you up, you shouldn't fight another man's battles and compromise benefits all. I have read and reread this tale but it is the audiobook on Bluetooth that gets me through my shift at work; 8 hrs alone with country music blasting makes this seem civilizated in nature.
