Wicked Wickey

Based on WW2 era when German U-boats destroyed anything on the Atlantic lines to show mere dominance, GreyHound, potrays a good scenario of the happenings of US Navy Commander Ernest Krause led fleet of destroyers escorting a convoy of cargo ships getting in a war with a pack of German U-boats. Academy Winner Tom Hanks potrays the role of Commander Ernest Krause quite perfectly. The timeframe of the movie does not allow to show the dynamics mor vibrantly but kudos to director Aaron Schneider for utilizing it well to establish the basics of every character and storyline. The calm, calculative and determined attitude of a commamder is very well potrayed and so are the other characters. The film focused on the workings of a Destroyer ship and naval lingo and battle tactics. Director Aaron Schneider presents a film not with the intention of giving viewers the excitement of a commercial film but rather gave the audience a film showcasing the harsh reality and the fear factor of war and people in it. It felt quite real at times and did often brought up the fright and dispairity in certaing scenes. But also shows the trihumpness over dispair with a reality touch. The subtle nature of the romance of the protagonist is what in real life happens and is very sweet.
