Absolutely loved sex in the city, with it’s brilliant casting, clever intertwined story lines, fashion, friendship and fabulous New York. It was absolutely iconic and ahead of its time, and left a vast void when the last wonderful episode aired. Sometimes a masterpiece is best left untouched as it can never be quite replicated and instead looks faded and sad. It is trying to be too politically correct and up to date with todays accepted norms in society and technology. It is sad seeing beloved characters and relationships deteriorate, and nothing is quite right. The idea was great for fans but the execution failed miserably and left fans disappointed and disillusioned with the way lives turned out. All escapism and excitement diminished and replaced with sad realities of growing old and changing. Best to be left with the hope and happiness Sex and the City ended with so brilliantly. Sorry more audience reaction should have been monitored before release, it had to be outstanding to stand any chance.
