People who are giving this movie bad reviews are narrow minded spoiled little brats. David chase said two years before production that this was not going to be a tony soprano origin story, and that it would have its own plot, storyline, and at the same time would be consistent with the shows storyline. The main character which is Dickie moltisanti is to Tony, what Tony was to Christopher. Throughout the movie. It is fascinating to see how Dickie is the same hypocritical sociopath that Tony grows up to be. For instance, Dickie kills his father, then at his father's funeral, he acts like he is mourning the loss, just like Tony who kills Ralph ciffaretto and then tells everyone he wants a full investigation. Dickie acts upset with his father when he finds out that he abuses his girlfriend, the same girl who Dickie later drowns to death in the ocean. Some people are trying to say that this movie is too much about black lives matter and racial equality, no you morons Harold and his crew were the antagonist in this movie just like Phil and the new York crew on the show. And last but not least the ending made sooooo much sense, it was perfect. On the show, we find out how insecure and undermined junior always feels, we also come to realize he is the biggest narcissist and sociopath out of all the characters. He trys to kill his nephew in the first season, then later on plots with Richie to do it again, but when he realizes he can't pull it off he goes and tells Tony that Richie is trying to move on him. Looking back on the first season of the show, when livia advises junior to kill Brendan but only send a message to Christopher, it makes everything clear now that we see how much livia admired Christopher's father, and even after Chris payed junior back for hitting Conley truck, junior still always had a problem with him
