Can't compare to the original and was predictable. I give it 3 stars as a kids movie. Maybe 1 or 2 for an adult. It was nothing special.

The redeeming part of this was that the comedy aspect good. Aside from having the original characters it didn't have the main element of the series where Shawn cleverly analyzes and deduces things. The new writer came up with a very cut and dry mystery where you could substitute anyone to go through the motions to solve.
