I'm not normally a reader, but I couldn't put this down.
As i got into the book I could feel the hairs on the back of my neck rising with the familiarity of the scenes being portrayed. The book is classed as fiction, it could really be autobiographical with only the names changed to protect the not so innocent....
Anyone who travelled to Portrush or was in Enniskillen at the time can really relate to this. The scene back then did more to cross the community divide than all the politicians in N. Ireland put together. Good times. Good friends. Good memories.
So, I highly recommend this and Ciaran McMenamin perfectly captures the moment back in the day.
