I loved the first chapter, his story telling is compelling and I found myself wanting to keep on reading. However the war narrative is quite repetitive in what seems to be an unnecessary way to extend suspense. The ending isn't all that surprising I mean we all expected Pete to have had killed Dexter over having an affair with his wife. I expected a different more convincing reason as to why a man would kill after much planning, ready to die and ruin the lives of so many, unless it was in the heat of the moment it doesn't make sense. A good read though.
