Dialogue is absolute garbage, the characters come across like they were each given a handful of personality traits out of a box, there is a microscopic amount of world building compared to the never ending train of useless shots of people I don't care about emoting at eachother. Its like they said "this story is too smart for television, let's add a bunch of sex, violence and personal drama". They make a point to quote the book exactly on a few occasions, which I appreciate, but they wasted so much time trying to get us to care about their OC's that they completely flopped on delivering the drama and tension surrounding the multi-generational plan. I can only assume they thought they would need to develop the colonists more in order for us to care about their descendants but we care about the galaxy and the concepts, not the characters.
