Ubisoft went for money grab with this one. This game focuses so much on trying do things other games do, that it loses it's identity. Breakpoint is a setback for Ghost recon games. Any time a developers are more worried about adding name brand shoes into a game then fixing bugs or complaints that have been pointed out since launch is sad. Shows you where the priorities are for the game.
In GR Wildlands you could shoot out lights to help you with stealth, whilst in Breakpoint you can shoot select lights that don't do anything towards stealth. Another example was breakable glass in Wildlands. In wildlands you could throw a flashbang through a window to a room before clearing it out. I don't understand why Ubisoft didn't keep this in Breakpoint. The fact that you can add a bipod attachment to you weapon, but can't use it is ridiculously infuriating. If I am able to cuff or uncuff my pant legs shouldn't we be able to pick where a laser goes on a weapon rail with 4 mount options?
Ubisoft added a gear score that is similar to the division and it is dumb and really just a waste of time.Lets say you spent time grinding for a particular weapon you think is sick or is really cool, well the next enemies you kill are going to drop a basic weapon with a higher rating and make all the work you did for your gun you like irrelevant just so enemies are a bit less bullet spongy. Oh and if your idea of a challenge is shooting a enemy with half a magazine before he dies is fun then this game is for you.
Glitches and bugs... This game has til this day so many blatant bugs and glitches it is ridiculous how do they even get put out. It took develops a long time to even bring ai team mates. when the previous game had them as a staple. Why would we want to play alone? it definitely isn't for the story because that is trash. if you like grinding the same mission over with a protect this, find this or that, or kill this after finding this type of grind. It's repetitive and gets boring fast after the cup cake phase wears off. This game does a good job at portraying some sort of badass tactical shooter survival game but really falls short and tries to appeal and cater to gamers on a broad spectrum, sacrificing what made the previous game great and a super underrated game.
