Going into Curious George on the GBA I expected for it to be a lazy cash grab with zero skill required and a broken physics engine. But what I actually got was a pleasant surprise! A unique 2d platformer that controls very well making each stage have interesting things in it while not making it gimmicky, as well as introducing an easy to grasp control scheme. But I haven't even gotten into the meat of it this game has so much level design that it feels as if the background artists poured their heart and soul into it. The character/enemy sprites are sub-par, but even then they look good. my only complaint is the janky hurt-boxes/hit-boxes. Sometimes you will die from the weirdest stuff. I once died because the game said no, George's health bar is pretty cute to with it being see no evil, speak no evil, and hear no evil totems to represent his three lives. The more and more I play this game I realize that this could be compared to the likes of Mario games and stand a chance! To sum it up... Play the game please, it is an experience like none other to enjoy seeing characters you grew up with being revitalized in such a unique way! This will definitely be one of the best games I have ever played! (of course this review is on the Game Boy Advance version so don't use the Game Cube version and complain that it isn't what I was talking about.)
