Finally made the decision to make time for this remake and was not disappointed; did not eclipse Boys Over Flowers which remains my favourite immortalised for me by Lee Min-ho. Dylan Wang was brilliant though; certainly turned in the best performance of the F4 gang, never stiff or hammy which i cannot say for the other 3 F4. I found Shancai sooo bloody annoyingly irritating, far more so than Geum Jan-di, especially with comments like "don't talk to him or you'll become pregnant" ...WHAT?? and who the heck made her Xiaoyou's chastity belt! I was offended by the use of the word "foreigner" at least 4 times in this drama in reference to Thomas and each time totally unnecessary. All in all, i truly enjoyed this drama and so very glad to see the wedding between Si and Shancai in the penultimate episode, something that disappointingly did not happen in Boys Over Flowers, you were just left to assume that they did. Hope to see Dylan Wang in more dramas; do not let him go to waste.

This drama had me at the edge of my seat and, at times I had to switch off because the suspense was just too much. After investing 16 hours in this drama, there had better be a season 2 because the ending which I think hinted at a season 2 was a big let down if there will not be a season 2! Do not let my last comment stop you from watching this drama, you will not be disappointed.

This drama rambled on for 53 episodes; all could have been said and done in 20 episodes. Is this really a reflection of Korean family life? A household where family members with no filter resides together? No respect for an individual's privacy? Eavesdropping at every door, gossiping and spreading rumours as confirmed facts? Why would anyone voluntarily marry into such a family? No lesson is ever learned from past mistakes. In short, this drama played out like a family with only half a brain between them. I stayed with it because of Nam Ji-hyun, Seo Kang-joon, Park Hyun-sik and Kim Hyun-joo who delivered great performances and pulled you in whenever they were on screen, hence, my 2 stars. 53 hours of my life I am never going to get back.

I did not think it was possible for there to be a Korean drama with the Great Hyun Bin that would fail to hold my interest. I persevered for several episodes but, in the end, had to go to the final episode and fast forward to the end just to get it out of my "watch list" and "continue watching". I have seen a snail move faster than this drama plot.

I have just watched this drama for the umpteenth time and about to do so again! It is pant-wettingly funny for the most part. Even the mean mother was enjoyable to watch but, I must ask, is it really a Korean way of life where offsprings are traded for financial gain and is generally accepted by the offspring; it appear to be very deep-seated in just about all the K-drama's I watch and I find it very difficult to get my head around this. Anyway, I recommended this drama if only to watch the love unfolding between Gil Ra-im and Kim Joo-won. Best of all, was actually witnessing the marriage between the two and the resulting children and the almost "Happy-ever-after" ending. You are usually just left to imagine that they "made it". Very unsatisfying. Please watch and enjoy.

Just watched the final episode of this drama and so glad I finally decided to watch the drama. Namgoong Min always grab my attention in anything he does and the chemistry between him and Minah kept me glued to the screen. On Joo-Wan also deserves a mention what a sensitive, caring soul (Jun-su); at times I was rooting for him to get the girl. I really felt for Gong Shim throughout this drama who had very unsupportive parents and an absolutely ghastly sister (Gong Mi) who never hesitated to throw her younger sibling under a moving bus. Shim had so little and Mi so much, but she always schemed to take away what little joy Shim may have; Jun-Su whom she knew liked Shim, Dan-Tae when his real identity was revealed; oh please do not get me started. The icing on the cake was when the writers tried to redeem Mi's character; I simply had to hit the fast-forward button at this point. Why do writers of such dramas always feel the need to redeem these awful women but men, I have noticed are never or seldom redeemed. Anyway, great drama. Please just watch and enjoy.
