The first part of the book that follows Johnathan Harker as he stays at Castle Dracula is really good and worth the read. But the moment that part ends and the story moves on to the accounts of Mina and the others, the book becomes unfathomably dull. I've heard people describe this book as a "slow burn", and good god is that an understatement! Stoker takes so much time setting up the plot that I almost forgot what I was reading while I was reading it.

Honestly, despite myself, I love Steven Universe. Despite the agonizingly long hiatuses, the atrociously inconsistent animation, the pointless/overabundant filler episodes, and the poorly handled characters and story arcs, I still love this show. Rebecca Sugar is a moron, but something about her creation has endeared itself to me. Maybe because it's like the first American cartoon to have openly LGBTQ characters and the fact that the show deals with a lot of adult themes that center around relationships and "love". Still though, as much as one might like Garnet, you can't deny that her existence is just a copout so that Rebecca doesn't have to actually keep writing Ruby's and Sapphire's relationship unless she wants to focus on it for an episode.
