Having lived in West Marin County, publishing a weekly newspaper from 2007-2015, this book about the San Geronimo Valley is fascinating to me. So much of the history of the area since Statehood centers on the North Pacific Coast Railroad and this is described in detail through images and text from various sources, private and public. The Valley has withstood threats of major development and retains much of the character described in the book, and many of the buildings pictured still exist and are being utilized today. This book is a very wonderful and comprehensive photographic story of the four villages comprising San Geronimo Valley since the 1850's.
