A must read book : Not just for UPSC aspirants, but for all lovers of Indian constitution. Indian Polity, Judiciary, and Constitution are some of the topics which always evaded me, until I found the book 'Important Judgements that Transformed India'. Alex Andrews George's book on Indian Constituition and Polity is written in a very lucid manner that it makes the topics very easy to be read and understood. The complicated and legal jargon has been broken down into layman terms making it easy for even non aspirants like me to understand. The chapter divison is noteworthy because of its simple subdivisions into intro, argument, judgement, relevance and impact. The concept of mindmaps has also been used very successfully in this book. UPSC CSE previous year solved question papers (of the past 40 years) from the topic is a real value addition. To sum it up, the author has successfully managed to elucidate in simple terms about the Indian Constituion and the important judgements that can be said to be the landmarks of polity. Verdict: A must read for aspirants and non aspirants as well.
