Great acting. Touching storyline. I went through every emotion watching this film. John David Washington clearly takes great pride in the roles he picks. Madeleine was adorable and a great young actress. You cant but to be drawn to her from the moment you see her. I loved their relationship. Loved the moments of humor. Well written script. This film could have easily been 3 hours and I wouldn't have minded at all. I'd love to have seen Gemma's character get more screen time. I definitely could see an alternate ending. Highly recommended.
