i wish rating 0 was an option. as if sexualising teens with shows like riverdale wasn't already bad enough, now netflix are bringing literal children into the mix! children! how is this legal? how could anyone endorse this? so so gross. eurgh

Not a die hard Friday the 13th fan but I loved this movie. Has all the suspense, gore, shock and horror a slasher film needs. Actually liked the final girl in this one, which made it all the more suspenseful and exciting to watch. Not sure why the ratings are so low

It may be an iconic slasher horror, but it most definitely is not the best. Corny acting, and a lack of character development makes it hard to care about the final girl's survival. Very slow in many places but a decent watch with super gory bits. Overall would recommend if you're genuinely interested, but dont expect the best of the best: this film is definitely overhyped.

I truly don't understand how this movie was able to garner 23% from rotten tomatoes, because if it were down to me, I'd give it a good old 0. A complete waste of time, probably the most disappointing ending a horror film could ever deliver, and every big question left unanswered. It felt like watching someone's half-completed assignment. Truly a disappointment.

i love this show. so creepy but insightful and really leaves you questioning everything around you. the episode regarding the martinez case really got to me :( would defo recommend for anyone interested in true crime.

I actually really love this movie. Although I hate the ending, the days leading up to the climax are really thrilling as we discover more and more secrets about Jim and the increasing possibility of saving him. I guess what people don't like is the quite disappointing ending we get to a film that could have been much more dramatic and shocking. Ah well.

i surprisingly didn't enjoy it. for a film based on a novel, it completely strips the plot down and instead adds bizarre scenes and dialogue that has no real meaning to the story. you can definitely tell it is a kubrickian tale, that's for sure.

probably the best movie i've ever watched by far. not a disappointment in the slightest. i'd always hoped to watch all the horror classics and finally watched this and everything, from the acting, cinematography, iconic shower scene, all down to the shocking ending, left me in absolute awe. watch this!! you will NOT regret it.
