The great Indian kitchen has got great reviews and my one star may be a shock to many and some may even perceive me as a MCP.... while I agree that the world in general and India in particular needs to do a lot on the gender inequality, the movie didn’t have much to convey than repeated scenes of dirty kitchen, malfunctioning sink, oozing drain.... yuckkk.... the way it ended is also something I don’t subscribe.... walking out of a marriage or kicking out a wife and remarrying are not solutions for healthy family.... the movie shows characters who are educated, in fact the husband teaches humanities in the school.... while I understand the irony, as a society, at least mine, men of all generations are lot more supportive, participative and have adapted to the new world... in fact I have come across some victims who happen to be men... this subject is at least 30 years old for me and this movie is not for urban progressive people... but for the story which is 100% real, there is absolutely nothing in the movie.
