Anthony's Awesome Antics

This show was one of the best netflix shows to date. Charlie Cox not only portrayed a superlative rendition of the heroic Daredevil, but that also of Matthew Murdoch. He is a paragon of what the virtuous Daredevil is supposed to be. The combat scenes are phenomenal and the incorporation of the infamous Punisher provided a cinematic synergy that was even more fascinating. The discontinuation of such a monumental show is a grievous travesty. The show immersed you into the pages of the Daredevil comic and the great originator Stan Lee (R.I.P.) would be disappointed by such impetuousness.

Let me first start by saying I am a HUGE Mario and Luigi fan and am from the oldschool era. I remember playing the game on my NES Nintendo system at the young age of 5 years old. The movie is nothing like our well beloved all-star hero and is actually offensive for die hard fans. Allow me to elaborate. We all know mario is the BEST playable character who always defies all odds to save Princess Peach from the perils of Bowsers (King Koopas) castle. Peach is always depicted as the damsel in distress hoping and trusting for her beloved hero mario to save the day. In this movie not only are the roles reversed but both Mario and Luigi are depicted as incompetent failures who lack intellect, strength and resolve. Luigi replaces Peach as the damsel in distress and does not have many scenes in the movie at all. Furthermore they make Peach an infallible perfect character, capable of no wrong and is portrayed not to even need the help of Mario nor that of Luigi. They incorrectly make Mario an incompetent buffoon who can't dodge enemies or obstacles nor perform amazing feats. Instead he gets beat up, hit by every object and looks like a bumbling idiot...He is portrayed as a weakling and far from the heroic manly mustached hero everyone is familiar with. In fact, the only way he can succeed in the slightest way is with power ups, as he is incapable of doing it on his own without a mystery box...furthermore there's feministic undertones where Princess peach out performs mario in battle, skill and intellect. She aces an obstacle course first try when mario fails miserably. She advises Mario on decisions and mario seems to be more of a sidekick to the over powered mighty Peach. They downplay and dumb down the two brothers so severely it's sad and nothing like the original games. I am all about equality but when you dumb down the male character to look like an incompetent idiot and portray the damsel in distress as a superior infallible counterpart, I draw the line. Feministic toxic nonsense that has no relevance to the actual game! What a travesty and disappointment where men are deemed as inferior weak morons. In my opinion it's a waste of time and money as the movie isn't accurately portrayed to the actual game nor it's characters.
