Saw this movie at SXSW on 3/7/2019.
Beautifully presented with very real and charismatic kids and their dedicated parents. A bit of history, especially the 1965 immigration act, is provided for context. There is drama, tension, elation and even some unexpected results as the competition unfolds. The expert commentators provided incisive insights. In particular, Hari (the sharp and hilarious) was terrific. This ode to these wonderful children and their families is more than deserved. Well done, Sam Rega and Chris Weller.
