I almost didn't watch this show because of the reviews but I'm glad I watched it. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Of course this show doesn't suddenly put an end to racism or diminishes the racial struggles of minorities in the 1940s. Anyone with common sense knows it was definitely not that easy for minorities. Hell, it's 2020 and we're still facing racial discriminations. The premise of this show was to explore an alternate reality. What if all it took was a movie? What if people who deserved recognition got it regardless of the color of their skin? That's definitely a naive thought but regardless, it was nice to see a happy ending. Those expecting accuracy should go watch a documentary.
