I’m only 4 episodes in, but the actor Joel Gretsch leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Either the writer hates his character or he’s a bad actor, He sucks... horrible choice for the part. Makes me not want to continue, but I’m intrigued with the 4400’s story idea. I’d give it 3 stars up till now, but Joel’s part dropped it to 2.
Update: I’m into the second season and the writing gets worse. It’s a good idea for a series, but the writers/directors aren’t the greatest. I’ll keep watching though, I’m curious where the storyline goes from here. A lot of suspense (which is good), but there are some moments that make you roll your eyes, ridiculously unbelievable. The main homeland security agent is still proving to be a B actor or worse.
Last Update: I didn’t realize this series was written in 2004, I now understand why it is so poorly written and directed. Production and acting is bad. I’m so disappointed, such a good idea. I can’t watch anymore... it’s just so poorly made, it’s like watching a series from the 80’s. To each their own though.
