As a person who lives and grew up in California I must say that the partying ways of the youngsters in the show are familiar to me, but the criminal justice system is a another story all together. I was astonished at the softness of the Swedish criminal justice system if the show portrays it with any accuracy. The interrogations, the defense attorney and the trial scenes are totally foreign to me. Secondly, all the teenagers are shallow, self centered, self absorbed entitled twits. All of them. All the trouble they’re in is from a complete lack of parental control. And lastly, if some rich drugged out jagoff ever raped my daughter I’d shoot him too.
