Well, for me A Suitable Boy is a total waste of time. (Book & Series). Plot is highly predictable and characters are preconceived and stereotypical, only reflecting authors mental prejudices.
The main thing which made this series loose and quite boring is it's language. Dialogues are written so poorly, and when actors speak, it feels hardly do they feel what they utter. They do not emote what they speak.
Yet, I liked Tabu, as always she is superb, when she speaks urdu. I liked Ishaan and Tanya as well. But, It would have been wonderful if it was done in Hindi instead.
And the plot felt kind of messy and predictable.
Most importantly, throughout the novel it felt the author had some kind of prejudice against a certain community or part of India, and was trying to glorify a certain part or culture as well. Thus, the writing lacks maturity and depth in characterization. It would have been wonderful if a more nuanced and well developed characters could be seen, rather than certain stereotypical ones.
It doesn't satisfy me as a reader as well as, as a viewer!
