The movie is basically the 3D version of the original movie, and in no way an 'Evolution'. While the scenes and Pokemon were vibrant and looked awesome, the human characters felt odd. In fact, from that point of view, I liked the original version better. I also think the omission of the initial part of the movie affected the narration of Mewtwo's character. I was also disappointed on the removal of the iconic dialogue by meowth to its clone version, about how we are equal when we share the same earth and look at the moon in the same way. Overall it is a good watch if you want to relive the old Pokedays, but a lot more effort is to be put in to live up to the expectations of our 90s generation who practically grew up watching pokemon and know it inside out.
