No, Marvin's Maze is definitely NOT just another Pac-Man clone but you can choose to play it that way. Out little hero is defending his home from a seemingly endless invasion of Robonoids. Marvin can gobble up dots to clear the board but those 4 large capsules give him the ability to shoot at the Robonoids, giving an increasingly larger bonus for hitting several with a single shot. The lifts allow Marvin to change from one level to the other and back again, which is helpful in escaping Robonoids. There are also moving sections that Marvin uses to trick and destroy a Robonoid who is following him closely. Marvin's Maze was originally released as an arcade game conversion kit by SNK in 1983. I own an original Marvin's Maze that was converted from a SEGA / Gremlin Carnival.
