I know liking a game is mostly subjective, but for as many 5 star reviews I’m seeing for this game I just can’t sit by and let the public be lied to. This game is nowhere near the game they advertised. The graphics on a ps5 were below average against other AAA PS4 titles (including FO76 for which I was also disappointed). I have a plethora of PS4 games that play better than this on my PS5. Now let me be clear, the graphical letdown was not the only thing that was not even close to what was promised. The simply dumb AI makes roaming around the city (one of my favorite open world game activities) an absolute slog. If you happen to walk by an area in the game more than once, then you will encounter the same pieces of dialogue over and over again. It’s a stark contrast to the “living city” that we were told this game would be. Lastly, the gameplay it’s self isn’t even polished. The gunplay is really generic for this genre. I really dislike how spongy the enemies are. I get that you can spec into guns through your skill tree, but the enemies just take too long to kill in general. Also, the driving isn’t nearly as crisp as driving in GTAV or even Watchdogs. I find that I really prefer to fast travel to near location rather than drive there simply because the driving is too boring. The only reason I didn’t give this game a 1 star is Keanu. That man did a killer job. The main story is actually really interesting. If this game had been advertised as a single player adventure game with a linear story, then I might have a very different opinion of what this game is.

5 out of 5. One of the most complete and polished games I’ve played in the last ten years. Absolutely love the dialogue, and the plethora of choices you can make that actually effect the outcomes. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever deliberated this hard on in-game decisions. Also, there is a decent selection of guns to choose from that allows for different styles of attack. This game is breath of fresh air in today’s gaming industry. I hope it wins game of the year.
