If you are a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who has a reasonably good understanding of Church history; i.e. you know about the Kirtland Safety Society, you know who Sidney Rigdon is, you know about Martin Harris's trek to New York City to meet with Charles Anthon, et.al., you will absolutely love this movie. The historical depiction is honest, the cinematography is excellent, the casting and performance for the characters Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery is off-the-charts good, and the movie is informative, uplifting, and faith promoting. For those with limited understanding of Church History, the back-and-forth setting changes will confuse and possibly frustrate. I personally enjoyed the movie at a ***** level, and found the movie an absolute treasure!
