Peggy Vincent has done it again. She has birth stories from when she was a midwife, but not just what happened, but how it happened. And what it took for the women to gather their courage to give birth, whether at home or a hospital. There are many quotes from women trying to describe their labor and births, and also very funny quotes from the children who found themselves with a baby sister or brother when they'd rather have a kitten.

Ellie meets Dan quite by accident in the lovely area of southwest England. Each chapter is from either Dan's point of view or Ellie's which let's the reader know the inner working of their minds. They are two different personalities but bond over music, nature and harps. It's a wonderful story, and well written.
