If you're into the time based attack, dodge, dodge, dodge, dodge, dodge, dodge, dodge, attack once or twice in a tiny window, retreat, rinse and repeat over, and over, and over, but if you mess up twice you're done kind of playstyles. This game is for you! If you like more easy going games you can breeze comfortably through, this is not for you. I do really like the customization on this game, and that's really it so far. There are so many options for your mech, and cool ones at that, but this kind of play style is so annoying, and it's so unrewarding knowing the next boss will just be the same exact process, just with different attack patterns. I never enjoyed anything from fromsoftware, but I played this series A LOT as a kid and teen. I figured I'd try it out as an adult since it was one of my favorites back then, but many years later I just find this kind of play style so tedious, and irritating.
Changed to 1 star after a night and half the day playing. Really trying with this one, but wow, it's super ridiculous. I genuinely don't understand how people enjoy this playstyle. "BEATING THE BOSS IS SO REWARDING WHEN YOU FINALLY GET IT!" No, there is no satisfaction in knowing the next one is going to be the same painful process with new attack patterns, and more tricks up their sleeve. Let's not mention the absolute lack of any kind of helpful tutorial. Here is how you move your mech, here's how you shoot. Good luck figuring out the attribute systems!
